PIDW Board
The PIDW Board brings together a distinguished group of global leaders, practitioners, and visionaries who guide the strategic direction of the Pakistan International Disputes Weekend (PIDW). Serving as custodians of the event’s mission, the Board ensures that PIDW remains a world-class platform for advancing dispute resolution, business partnerships, and cross-border collaboration.

Barrister Mian Sheraz Javaid
Chair, Pakistan International Disputes Weekend (PIDW)
Mian Sheraz Javaid is the founder and Chair of the Pakistan International
Disputes Weekend (PIDW). The concept for PIDW
was born from his vision in 2022 after he returned to Pakistan and identified a
critical need for a regional platform
dedicated to dispute resolution. He notes that Pakistan is a growing recipient
of foreign direct investment, most
prominently through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and his work
with PIDW is instrumental in positioning
the region to handle these complex, cross-border disputes.
Recognizing a gap in the region's legal infrastructure, his founding vision for
PIDW was centered on addressing several
key areas:
- The absence of a platform for knowledge sharing and continuous professional development in the field.
- A lack of opportunities for meaningful networking among dispute resolution professionals.
- The need for a more inclusive forum that embraces the full spectrum of dispute resolution—including litigation, mediation, and adjudication—beyond just arbitration.
- Creating a bridge to facilitate stronger international-local business connectivity for law firms, ADR Centres, and practitioners.
International Board Members
The Pakistan International Disputes Weekend (PIDW) is proud to have a distinguished International Board, comprised of leading jurists and practitioners from across the globe.
